ASHOKAN CENTER'S ANNUAL MAPLE FEST
Enjoy an all-day pancake breakfast served hot off the grill topped with Ashokan’s very own maple syrup. Tap a tree and try your hand at syrup making. There will be Blacksmithing, Tinsmithing and Broommaking activities too, and visits to Cathedral Gorge and the historic Ashokan-Turnwood Covered Bridge during the day. At 1:00 PM Story Laurie & Ira McIntosh will share musical folktales and fun, at 2:00 PM Jay Unger and Molly Mason will perform their timeless music for all. French Canadian jam session, and a potluck dinner begins at 6:00 PM in Ashokan’s Main Lodge. Bring a maple-themed dish to share and Ashokan will provide hearty soup and refreshing beverages! There’s a waltz with Jay and Molly at 7:30 PM and at 8:00 Peter Blue & Mooncoin will kick off a contra dance and square dance to usher in the season. - Daytime tickets are $5 for adults and youth, $3 for kids under ten, and children under five come free. Evening tickets are $10 for adults and youth, $5 for children under ten, & children under five are free.
